This half-day introductory course provides clinicians with a practical foundation in Partial Extraction Therapy (PET), with a focus on the Socket Shield Technique. Participants will explore the biological rationale behind PET and learn when, where, and how the technique can be incorporated into implant treatment. Through lecture, case-based discussion, and hands-on exercises, the course will review case selection, treatment planning, step-by-step socket shield preparation, implant positioning, and common clinical considerations. The hands-on portion will allow participants to practice the fundamental steps of the technique in a controlled setting, building familiarity with the instruments and workflow required for predictable clinical application.
By the end of the course, clinicians will be able to:
• Explain the biological rationale and fundamental principles of Partial Extraction
Therapy (PET) and the Socket Shield Technique.
• Identify appropriate indications, contraindications, and case-selection criteria for
socket shield procedures.
• Describe the clinical steps involved in tooth preparation, shield design and
preparation, and implant positioning.
• Recognize key anatomical and restorative considerations that influence
treatment planning and clinical outcomes.
• Perform the fundamental steps of socket shield preparation.
• Identify common complications and procedural errors and discuss strategies for
their prevention.
100% refund up to 20 days before the course, less than 20 days, tuition fee will be transferable to another course.
